Preserving Paul’s Legacy
In June, the tenth and final Paul R. McLaughlin Golf Tournament was held at Ponkapoag Golf Club. It was the tournament’s finale, and a fitting tribute to a man who touched the lives of so many. Over the past ten years this event has brought together Paul’s family, friends and colleagues to honor his memory and raise much-needed funds for the youth center named in his honor. The combined efforts of our many supporters, sponsors, and golfers raised over $68,000 this year. In August, over 130 loyal Club supporters enjoyed a great outing at Wollaston Golf Club for the 15th annual Marr Charities tournament. |

| Rodman Ride For Kids October 1, 2005 Support the 15th Annual Ride for Kids The Rodman Ride for Kids is a one-day cycling tour that raises funds for programs that promote healthy, positive lives for children throughout Massachusetts. The Club is one of the many organizations that benefits from The Ride, and 100% of every donation goes directly to program support. This year’s event is on Saturday, October 1, and there are lots of ways to participate, including riding the race, sponsoring riders, or helping out on the big day. Join Team Marr for the 2006 Boston Marathon For the third and final year, the Club will be designated as an official charity of the Boston Athletic Association’s 2006 Boston Marathon. We have fifteen official race numbers for non-qualified runners who want to train with Team Marr and join our fundraising effort. We also welcome qualified runners who want to run for a great cause. Interested runners can go to www.danmarrclub.org for an application and more information. |
