The Gamesroom
THE GAMESROOM serves as the hub of our Social Recreation program. As members ages 6 -12 gather here after school you can feel the youthful energy build. The social recreation staff directs this energy to engage members in positive use of leisure time, life skills, social skills, and community service.
The Social Recreation Program’s purpose is to set the overall Club climate, create a sense of community, foster social success, expose Club members to new cultures, and to serve as a hub to other Club programming. This is best accomplished by getting to know individual members while in a safe, fun, active environment. A true measure of our gamesroom’s success is when a member begins to seek out programs in other areas of the Club that pique their interest.

Torch Club
Members ages 9-13 engage in community service, fund raising, and Club-based volunteer projects. Participation helps members develop good character and effective leadership skills.

Quiz Master
A team trivia game utilizing Brainquest questions, with members competing within age groups. Points are awarded and accumulated weekly, culminating in a reward for the winning team at the end of the school year.

Cooking Club
Small groups of 10-12 year olds meet with the Kids Café Director in the Club kitchen to learn how to make easy, healthy and inexpensive meals.

Field Trips
Throughout the year, members are treated to theatre performances and sporting events, as well as visits to amusement parks and cultural institutions.
