Programs : Aquatics : Swim Lessons

Our program is divided into two separate sections, one for 5 year olds and under called the Tiny Tots Program and the other is for 6 year olds and above.

The Tiny Tot program is designed to get children used to the water and comfortable around it. They must be between the ages of 4 and 5 and also be potty-trained. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday during the day.

The regular lesson program is open for all children 6 to 17 years old. This program is divided into 4 levels allowing children to pass to the next level as their skills increase.

Level 1 is for those children who are not very comfortable in the water. They learn to put their faces in the water, blow bubbles.

Level 2 is for children who are comfortable in the water but do not have strong stroke mechanics. We will work on floating on the front and back, scissor-kicking, front crawl, and backstroke.

Level 3 is for children working on completing one lap (25 yards) of the pool in both backstroke and front crawl (freestyle). We will add simple diving and the basics for the breaststroke (arms and kick separately).

Level 4 is for children that can complete a lap of both backstroke and freestyle. We will continue the study of breaststroke and add butterfly. More diving will be introduced as well as basic life guarding techniques.

Children who reach level 4 and are looking for more challenge are strongly encourage to join the Marr-lins as well at the ISL and Summer Swim Team...
